The ‘Canvas’ EP is the final piece in a trilogy of conceptually-linked EPs that the band have released post-COVID. This release sees the band steer in new directions towards a harder-edged, metal-influenced direction, and a lyrical fearlessness that has shaken up the scene, divided long-time fans and sparked urgent conversations while drawing in a new wave of listeners. The band are looking to widen their audience and traverse over to different ‘alternative’ scenes by fusing post-rock textures, death metal growls, and groove-heavy riffs into their signature lightning-fast melodic hardcore. Produced by Will Duff at Goliath Sound Studios, Canvas is DARKO’s most dynamic, anthemic work yet – sure to impress both the music snobs at the back and the beer-stained skate punks up front.
